Love Stories --- Austin and Randall <3 Adventure Forth
Our hearts just melted when one of our insta-buddies, Austin, emailed us these to-die-for photos of her and her sweet fiance. We feel so lucky to be a small part of their adventure-loving story! Cheers!!
He's from Atlanta, GA. She's from Charlotte, NC. He grew up the youngest of three, she grew up the oldest of three. They call him Louie, they call her Ollie.
We met in college (Roll Tide!). After moving out to West Texas for a job, Randall and I had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Moving away from our friends and family was a big step but we've defiantly made the most of it and become best friends because of it.
Being new to Texas we decided we would try and explore something new every weekend. And so we did ... and still do.
Throughout our travels we came across Taos, New Mexico and haven't stopped visiting since.
We (+Nova our dog) woke up early Saturday morning after a night of camping to head up the mountain for an early start to Wheeler Peak. After a steady hike up to the 13,159 foot summit the wind was howling so we managed to find a spot off the back side of the mountain to grab a snack and take a breather. He told me I should wear the Go Pro to record the last couple steps to the top. Little did I know he wanted to record one of the best moments of my life! A couple minutes later Randall was on one knee asking me to marry him!!!
YES!! The sky cleared and a rainbow appeared (I promise I'm not lying!)
I can't believe I got engaged in my favorite place, on top of my favorite mountain, to my favorite person and best friend in the world!
Randall and I currently live in Midland, TX. We still travel ALL THE TIME and love every minute of it! Our favorite thing to do is enjoy the beautiful outdoors and spend time with one another. You can normally catch us on a weekend camping after a full day of hiking, biking, and/or skiing with a glass of wine and a good meal under the stars.
